Raku pottery
I have worked with ceramics for over 30 years, and feel my work is evolving along a distinctly earthy path, with inspiration drawn from the environment in which I live
and work.
Recent work is largely Raku Fired, and primarily decorative rather than functional. The process involves lifting fragile pieces from the kiln at 1000°C wearing protective apparel. No firing can be repeated, making each piece highly unique.
I am also an enthusiastic watercolourist, although my ceramic work has recently taken precedence.
