When I paint, I strive to interpret mood and atmosphere, whilst maintaining reality in my imagery. The atmospheric mountain mists set against the lush greens and rich ochres of the farmland of the Yarra Valley are one of my favoured subjects. When I paint people, I love to place them in their environment where they can tell their own story. My artistic journey continually compels me to find new ways to paint what my eyes see. My primary medium is oil but I also work in pen, charcoal, pastel and watercolour on silk.
