“The Sheila’s Shed” reflects my diverse interests as poet, painter and garment designer. What inspires me about making Wearable Art from recycled and collectable materials is that it encourages ordinary people to express their own style and beauty in collaboration with the artist. My joy is in the creative process.
I was born into an artistic family and have sewn, sketched and written poetry since childhood. I continue to explore different mediums and am currently taking pastel classes in Healesville.
My studio, at the foothills of Mt Donna Buang, is colourful and light, and visitors can enjoy many sensory pleasures in the beautiful surrounds.
