textiles and collage

My training as a textile designer and screen printer has rewired the way I look at the world. From smooth river stones, to the unique tactile nature of a eucalyptus tree or compositors printing block, I see not just the object itself, but a motif or a texture.
This all becomes part of my visual language, as I simplify shapes and build layers in my collage, using my printed fabrics, found objects and the ephemera of every day life.
I love my studio space. It allows me to explore different elements of my textile and art practice.
I also enjoy the collaborative process with people from different creative backgrounds.
