Jenny Reddin, Painter – 15

I find inspiration from flashes of images and colours out of the corner of my eye during my daily life, driving down the road, or on the farm. I seek ambiguity, leaving the viewer to interpret. I am interested in the interplay between light, dark and textures. There are suggestions of landscape and figure and an element of drama. They are not quiet paintings – sometimes a feeling of night time – of a rabbit caught in the headlights, an image that challenges the viewer and strives for a deeper content. I seek not to be too controlled but to hold it together with unity and form.
