I have always been fascinated with light, and the way in which it falls across an object or view. I try to use light as a tool not only for effect, but also as a significant addition to the piece. When painting portraiture or figurative works I feel I can utilise this method to its best advantage and achieve the most self-satisfying rewards artistically.
I specialise in portraiture but by no means limit myself to this subject. I have been lucky enough to paint some well-known and respected people in the community and have been a winner and finalist in many national portrait and art exhibitions.
